The Raja Private School for DogsThe Raja Private School for Dogs - Dog Training, Daycare & Boarding

The day

A day at The Raja. From pickup to drop off.

From pickup to outdoor activity, individual work where needed, indoor settling and the trip home. The exact day depends on your dog's care and training plan.

  1. 01

    The van pulls up

A driver comes to your door for the agreed pickup. Collection arrangements are set before the first day, and every dog is evaluated for shared travel and care.

“My pup Lucy absolutely melts with excitement as soon as she sees the doggy van pull up to whisk her away to the farm to play with her friends.”
    Jake Meer, Google review
  2. 02

    The ride out

Dogs travel together. The evaluation checks whether that setting suits your dog before the first pickup. The trip depends on the route and traffic, and dogs differ in how they handle travel.

  3. 03

    Out onto the field

The farm has open ground for outdoor activity. Swimming, ball, the zipline and walks across the property are part of the experiences owners have described. What each dog does depends on the dog and its plan.

“Whether swimming, playing ball ziplining or hikes these dogs enjoy the having fun with Michael and the pack.”
    Diane Rosenbluth, Google review
  4. 04

The group does some of the teaching

Basic training includes reading other dogs, boundaries and patience. A dog that needs more space is not simply placed in the middle of a group. The evaluation checks whether this setting fits each dog.

  5. 05

    Inside, and everything changes

Outside activity is followed by indoor settling. Basic training includes keeping off people and counters and respecting other dogs' space. The day includes practising quiet routines as well as play.

  6. 06

    The training session

For dogs on Foundational or Specialized, this is dedicated one on one work on their own plan. It may cover general skills such as recall or leash walking, or one named concern. The plan changes with the dog and the setting where a skill needs to work.

  7. 07

    The plan adjusts

The evaluation gives us a place to start. What happens during the program tells us what comes next. If your dog needs more help transferring the work home, that can be added after the main program.

  8. 08

    Home again

The van brings daycare dogs home. Boarding dogs stay at the farm overnight. Care and training continue according to the individual plan, rather than promising the same response from every dog.

The part that changes things at home

Outside is for play. Inside is for settling.

The day has different settings for different kinds of work. Outdoor activity gives dogs room to move; indoor time lets them practise settling around other dogs and people.

Basic learning includes those everyday transitions. A dog may need more practice at home, where the people and distractions are different. Foundational or Specialized adds individual work when the evaluation identifies a goal beyond the care day.

The ride

Pickup connects your door to the farm

Travel is part of the care decision. The route and your dog determine what works; the transport page explains collection and what is assessed before pickup.

How the pickup works

See it for yourself first.

The evaluation can take place at your home or the farm. It starts the discussion about your dog's care, travel and training fit.

$125 at your home, $50 at the farm. Your full evaluation payment is credited toward your first purchase.
