A town inside the service area does not tell you the length of a particular trip. Timing depends on the route and traffic; collection also depends on your dog's fit. Ask about your address and arrangements before planning a first day.

Choosing the arrangement
A regular day and a longer stay make different trips
Daycare needs repeated collection and return trips. Boarding or board and train connects pickup and return to a longer stay. Your address and your dog's comfort with shared travel matter in either case.
Tell us whether you are asking about regular care or an overnight stay, where pickup would happen, and anything you already know about your dog's response to car rides and other dogs. We can then discuss the route and the evaluation. A town appearing on this site is a starting point for that conversation, not a fixed pickup time.
The farm is in Mt. Airy. Visiting it for a farm evaluation is different from having your dog collected for care. Compare the evaluation options before choosing where to meet.

Why every dog is assessed first
Dogs travel together, so the ride is a real question
A driver is putting your dog into a vehicle with other dogs. A dog that cannot handle that safely is not one we can collect, and finding that out on a Tuesday morning at someone's front door is the wrong time.
So we check it deliberately, before the first pickup, along with whether your dog can join a group and handle a stay. That is most of what the evaluation is actually for.

About pickup and drop off
- How far do you go?
- Montgomery County and much of Northern Virginia, and we go further than most people expect. If your town is not on the list, ask.
- Is the van ride stressful for a dog?
- Dogs differ in how they handle shared travel. The evaluation checks that fit before collection. Trip length depends on the route and traffic; no fixed settling timeline is promised.
- Do dogs travel together?
- Yes. That is why every dog is assessed before its first pickup. A dog that cannot ride safely with others is not a dog we can collect.
- Is pickup extra?
- No. It is included in the daycare and boarding rates.
- Do I need to be home?
- Usually not, once we have your arrangements set up. We work that out with you at the start rather than leaving it to the driver to guess.
