What a day here actually adds, for a Reston dog
Reston is the only place on our run with its own private governing association layered over county law. The Association maintains the pathways, posts the waste stations and writes its own rules, and Fairfax County's leash ordinance sits underneath all of it as the floor.
The practical result is a town where dogs are unusually well walked and almost never off a lead. There is exactly one designated off-leash park, at Baron Cameron. A day on open ground is filling a different gap here than it is somewhere with a big yard.
